Our Story

High Forest Cottages came to life at the end of 2014, inspired by the arrival of our twin boys the previous year. Over time, we had grown to love the New Forest, frequently escaping here from the hustle and bustle of London life. In 2014, we made the big decision to leave behind our successful careers in the city and follow our dream of creating something new and meaningful.

 

Over the next three years, we carefully renovated—and in some cases, rebuilt—each of our cottages. Our vision was to craft warm, welcoming, and comfortable spaces where guests could truly relax and experience the magic of this special corner of the world.

Sustainability has been at the heart of our journey from the beginning. When we arrived, the cottages were heated with oil-fired boilers. We replaced these with environmentally friendly alternatives: a Ground Source Heat Pump now provides heating for The Tack Room, Stable Cottage, and The Hayloft, while The Barn is heated with an Air Source Heat Pump.
