Our bedlinen is all pure cotton and duvets and pillows are hypo-allergenic. Some of the cushions in the cottage are feather filled, however we can easily change these for hypo-allergenic too, just ask!

We often get asked what we supply in the kitchen. We provide ample plates, cups, glasses and cookware to enable you to create your meals in our cottages. We also provide washing up liquid, dish washer tablets and anti-bacterial surface spray, bin liners are also provided.

We provide tea, coffee and sugar as well as a small bottle of milk from our local dairy, so you can make a cuppa as soon as you arrive. We also provide cooking oil, salt, pepper, aluminium foil and kitchen roll.

The Hayloft, Stable Cottage and The Tack Room all have an oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. The Barn has an oven, dischwasher and fridge with a freezer compartment.

Heating and hot water

All our cottages are heated with underfloor heating controlled by a thermostat. The thermostats can be adjusted up and down to the required temperature.

Stable Cottage and The Hayloft have an enclosed garden with a 4ft fence and hedge surrounding. The fence is a picket style fence with about three inch gaps.

For the enjoyment of all our guests, with and without dogs, we ask you to adhere to the following:

  • dogs must not be left unattended for any reason or any length of time

Location

Our address is:

High Forest Cottages

Forest Road

Redlynch, SP5 2PU

We are located on a B-road (B3080), which is mainly used for local and commuter traffic. It is a 40mph road and care must be taken when crossing this to access the open Forest. Our property has cattle grids on the driveways to stop the ponies, cattle, donkeys and deer from entering into the garden. Next to one of the cattle grids is a small gate to make access on foot easier. Please make sure the gate is shut!

At the rear of our property we have a paddock, which is not accessible to our guests, and beyond that is private land.

Check in and check out times

Providing clean  accommodation is of utmost importance to us and our cleaning team is brilliant. However it does mean that we require enough time for them to carry out a full clean between guests leaving and the arrival of new guests.

Our check in time is from 4pm and check out is before 10am. When we are able to provide flexibility on these times we will let you know. Unfortunately we do not have the capacity to store luggage.

EV Charging

We currently do not have the appropriate connections to allow EV charging. It is strictly forbidden to use a standard 13amp socket, inside or outside the cottage to charge your car.
