Covid-19

As guests, we want you to feel at ease in our cottages, in the knowledge that we are doing everything in our power to ensure your safety and protection during this pandemic. As such, we have adjusted our practices to minimise the risk of virus contraction within our cottages. These practices are in place to maximise your safety and that of all of our guests and we are working hard to ensure your stay remains comfortable and enjoyable.

You will complete an electronic registration form prior to arrival, to comply with the Immigration (Hotel Records) Order 1972 and Track and Trace.

Your check-in is contact free, with the keys being stored in a lock box. There is alcohol gel in several locations to help you sanitise your hands on arrival.

Each cottage will be thoroughly ventilated, cleaned and sanitised to government COVID-19 guidelines.

Staff
Staff wear the Government recommended PPE when cleaning and preparing all cottages.

Ventilation
At check out we will ask you to open all windows and doors, as per Government guidelines, to increases the air flow and minimise the possibility of virus transfer.

Cleaning/Hygiene
Our cleaning has been heightened to ensure the highest standards of covid-19 safety. We are using bactericide cleaners and viricidal disinfectants as per Government guidelines being effective to kill corona virus. We rotate sofa cushions between guests and have removed unnecessary cushions and throws from bedrooms.

Guest Actions

Please ensure you wash your hands regularly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

We do not allow visitors inside or outside our cottages. If you wish to meet up with family and friends whilst staying with us, please do so away from our cottages. This is to ensure the safety of all our guests and staff.

If you have any coronavirus symptoms before your visit – fever, continuous cough, or loss of taste or smell, or have been asked to self-isolate or quarantine – please stay at home.

Prior to your stay you will be emailed with contactless check in details. Please follow the directions on arrival to ensure physical distancing.

It is essential you advise us straight away should you feel unwell. As per Government guidelines, if you are able to leave, you will be asked to return home immediately. If this isn’t possible, e.g. if you are too unwell we will ask you to self-isolate in your cottage. We will contact NHS England and advise of the procedure to follow.

Cancellation policy

Our normal cancellation policy applies in the case of illness or your requirement to self isolate. Although we will do everything possible to re-book your dates and a partial refund will be available if we do. In the event of travel restrictions or hosting restrictions imposed by the Government within the 60 day period prior to your arrival, you will receive a refund minus the non-refundable deposit.

A Final Note

It has been a long few months for everyone and we are delighted to welcome our guests back to High Forest Cottages. All of the measures put in place are for your health and safety. We do not believe any of the measures will impact the enjoyment of your stay with us. Anything you do not have, just ask. We are always here for you.
